Welcome to the NHS Leadership Academy certificate service

This is a digital certificate service provided by the NHS Leadership Academy for participants who have completed a course/programme. It allows participants to access their certificates securely and reliably.

Your certificates are stored as digital records. They are securely protected and only accessible by you after logging in. Digital certificates allow participants to instantly access, download, print and share their achievements.

Each certificate has a unique 16-character identification code known as a certificate number. You can use this to prove the authenticity of your certificate through our certificate verification form.

After logging on, participants can view and, if required, download certificates as PDFs.

You will receive a login link when your certificate is available which will redirect you to our single sign-on service where you will need to enter your 10-digit Academy ID and password.

Once you have logged in, you can return to this site where you can view and download your certificates.

Common issues

Can't log in?

In order to log in you will need your 10-digit Academy ID number and password.

If you don't know your Academy ID then you can get a reminder from this reminder page.

If you've lost your password then you can click on the "Reset Password" button on the profile login page.

Can't see your certificate?

Please note that certificates are only shown here when your assignment has been marked and passed.

If you believe your certificate is missing, please review the support page and, if you still believe it is missing, contact us.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the name on my certificate come from?

By default, the name on your certificate comes from your profile and consist of your first and last name.

However, if you provided an alternative name when submitting your programme assignment, then this will be used instead.

What do I do if the name on my certificate is wrong?

First of all check the name in your profile at https://profile.leadershipacademy.nhs.uk. If that is wrong then it's likely that your certificate will be wrong too. In this case you should correct your name in your profile and contact the relevant programme team for an updated certificate.

If the name in your profile is correct then it's likely that your certificate was either generated before a profile update or is based on the name you provided when uploading your assignment. In either case you will need to contact your programme team for them to correct your certificate.

How can I prove my certificate is genuine?

You, or anyone you want to, can enter or paste your 16-character certificate number into our certificate verification form.

If your certificate is found then a summary, including a redacted version of your name, will be displayed.

A link to this form, with your certificate number already included, can be found on the back of your certificate and on your certificate summary page.
